The Fitzhugh Estate of five blocks of flats on the edge of the Common are a classic example of post war council housing. Sharon O’Neill, a long term resident and the force behind a fascinating research into life on the estate today, will speak to the Society and show a short film made as a community project during lock down. This is particularly topical as the council have entered consultation on providing additional homes on the site.
