March Meeting
Wednesday March 27 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
There will be a members only AGM at 7.30 to be followed by a 15 minute social & drink.
Following the social there will be a showing of the Friends of Wandsworth Common’s highly rated film Common Memories which many have not had an opportunity to see. In fact, many of those have seen it would like to see it again! Non-members just wanting to see the film should arrive at 8pm.
Common Memories, premiered at the Wandsworth Heritage Festival in 2023, is a beautifully produced oral history. This hour long film has been distilled from 20 hours of interviews with lifelong residents of Wandsworth Common relating their memories of their long lives in this area.
The film is a great testament to the volunteers: Ros Page and her team of interviewers, Rosa Navas, who sensitively edited the footage into such a wonderful film, and of course to the interviewees themselves.
