On Thursday 28 November 6.30pm Election Hustings are to be held York Gardens Library, SW11 2UG. Conservatives, Green, Labour and Luib Dem cparliamentary candidates will be present. The hustings are organised by the Battersea Society and Katherine Low Settlement.

The Wandsworth Society covers three parliamentary constituencies so will not be offering a hustings. However, any taking place in the three constituencies that we cover (Battersea, Putney & Tooting) will be posted here. See below for Putney and Battersea.
Conservation of Mount Nod Huguenot Cemetery
This small but historically important piece of open space will be given a new lease of life by the Council with work getting under way in the last week of November. The half acre Huguenot burial ground at the top of East Hill, home to a number of listed tombs and graves, will then be reopened to the public as a small “pocket” park .

Wandsworth Bridge Repairs set to start in February
£6 million pounds had been earmarked to give the bridge a makeover, with works due to start in February 2020 and to last about 10 months. The works will include a series of detailed structural repairs, carriageway resurfacing, waterproofing, painting and corrosion protection.
Low energy LED floodlights will be installed underneath its arches so they can be lit at night and existing street lamps will be replaced with Victoriana-style architectural lights.
B&Q site: Goodbye to all the trees
Following closure of the store 3 weeks ago, to allow the L&G development of flats to rent, the diggers have moved on to the site in force. They ripped up all the car park trees last week and this week it is the turn of all the trees around the periphery of the site.
